A student following an Academic Year Course studies 23 hours a week and stays for 30 weeks or longer.
Any student prepared to invest so much of his or her time studying usually has a long term aim or goal. This generally involves taking one of the many exams that the school prepares its students for. The most frequently taken exams are: Cambridge First Certificate, Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English and the Cambridge IELTS examination.

 

All long stay students are carefully monitored by the academic staff to ensure every aspect of their stay is to their satisfaction. Regular tutorials with your teachers are important as is the availability of student counselling with the school's Director of Studies where any concerns that a student has about his or her course can be raised and dealt with. Study habits are very personal but bad habits will make your progress slow. A one-to-one student counselling meeting can help you identify problems with your approaches to learning and your motivation for learning. This can have a big impact on how you learn and how you enjoy learning. This personal attention ensures that every student receives the maximum academic benefit from their stay with us. Discounts for Academic Year Course Students
Students staying for 30 weeks or more can make a considerable saving on course fees. A general intensive course of 23 hours a week costs £193 in winter and £236 in summer but Academic Year Students pay £160 a week regardless of whether they enrol in winter or summer.
